Anybody bet on Australia yet?

Just wondering if anyone has bet on Australia to win the whole thing or to beat Brazil. I'm thinking about putting $5 on Australia to win the thing, but i don't want to feel like I'm a complete mug:lol: .

No. Australia might beat Croatia to get to Round 2. But we're no hope of beating Italy in the 2nd Round(or the Czechs if they upset Italy)

The scary thing is they don't look too bad. I just don't know whether I could back a team this hasn't won in 40 years.

I didn't realise when I posted my initial post. We can't meat the Czechs in Round 2 unless both Czech-Italy and Ghana-US are draws. Italy will probably win, so the winner of Ghana-USA will meet Croatia or Australia in Round 2 - and if Ghana-USA is a draw, Ghana will go through.

I reckon the Czechs will beat Italy Razor. Ghana were unreal against the Czechs and I reckon they would have went close to beating anyone.

Italy's style of play will allow the Czechs to play more like they did against the USA and they'll get a lot more possesion and time on the ball. Something that will get them the win. But only by 1 goal.

Then I'm looking at Ghana to beat the USA by 2 goals. Leaving them with top spot and the Czechs in second

Good in theory anyway :lol:

I actually thought the same thing Macca. Doesn't seem too unlikely, especially the US getting flogged.

Didn't end up putting anything on the Aussies, except to qualify for the second round a couple of weeks ago.
Had something on the Dutch to make the quarters and semis, they're going through some week groups and have already qualified for the knockouts.
