What happened in Round 1?

It was the Magic Weekend in Cardiff. A decent crowd turned up on both days and everyone who went had a good time.

Warrington were rubbish, Catalans and Harlequins played what will surely be the worst game of the season, Saints and Wigan had a thriller, Crusaders got the biggest win of the weekend, Leeds were average but still snatched a win with a penalty try and Hull don't appear to have changed at all from last year.

Danny Brough was excellent, Scott Dureau and Kyle Eastmond were hopeless, Elliott Whitehead and Michael Witt scored career-first hat-tricks, Rob Powell and Iestyn Harris got their first wins as head coaches and Joel Monaghan got a lot of abuse.
