are you all interested in maybe having a live draft or do you want to keep it auto selection?

the live draft is alot of fun but you really need to know the players (the top 100 at least).

Yeh i would love a live draft i just didnt choose it because I didnt think it would be possible. For a live draft you need everyone online at the same time and it can take anywhere up to 2 hours, if everyone can agree on a time though ill change it to live draft.

As for chile, good to speak to you again mate.

It works like so:

We each pick our team of players (1 quarterback, 2 runningbacks, 3 wide receivers, 1 tight end, 1 kicker and 1 defensive team) from the real NFL player pool. (no two teams can have the same player). You try and sign the players who you think will be the best fantasy players for the season ie:
A good fantasy QB is one who throws a lot of TD but not many intercepts. If your fantasy QB gets a touchdown in the real game for that round, your fantasy team gets 6 points - if he throws a pick he loses 2 points for your team etc. etc.

Each week your team comes up against someone else's team and whoevers fantasy team gets the most points, wins - and it is run in a league with finals.

Throughout the season you will undoubtedly have to drop and sign new players as injuries/form changes occur and things like the Bye weeks make it important to frequently reshuffle your lineup. Other things like who your QB or RB are playing against will also alter your starting team.

It really is quite fun, im not sure if i explained it properly though.

are any of you having trouble getting the java script up when you're editing your draft rankings. when i click on the "install the latest version of microsofts java virtual machine" link it sends me to a blank page.

at the moment it is an auto draft so you have to rank the players to your preference. just click on "my team" and then "edit pre rankings".

have a look at the default rankings and if you don't agree with them just click on "edit my rankings". you will be able to change the rankings to your liking.

when every team owner tells paullyboy their rankings are set he will then put draft status as ready and the computer will pick everyones team.

Chileman, first rule of fantasy football - anything wearing Vikings uniform or colours is a no go!

The competition starts as soon as we get 10 teams or if we arent gonna get more i can just manually start it.

are you saying that as soon as the 10th team joins the computer will start drafting the teams?

does it give us a couple of days to edit the rankings or will you just warn us when the draft day is approaching? preseason is about to start and it will give us a better idea of how the players are going and which rookies we should look out for.

a warning would be appreciated.

seeing this is an auto draft, i suggest everyone uses the exclusion list so they don't get players they hate. i couldn't imagine having a player like brett favre or tom brady on my team. my exclusion list is just as long as my draft ranking list.

Dont worry mate, the draft wont start untill I hit the button saying close league. At this stage we have 9 teams and a guy from the WORL forums wants to join so next time he is online he will take the teams to 10. Im going to hold out a bit longer though and see if we can take it up to 12 teams or maybe even 14.

The league is coming along beautifully guys. We have 11 teams signed on and the 12th on the way.

Would you guys prefer me to shut off team selection now? Or do you want more teams?
