Geez they're pushing a fine line here...

The day should be all about the soldiers. I'm sure they don't mean any disrespect but I can see some people taking it that way.

You can have +5 matches on the next day (Sunday) to commemorate the whole weekend's remembrance.

But on the actual day it should only be Saints/Rorters and Storm/NZ.

The idea is ok, but 5 game might be pushing it, four games is more realistic.

I'd be pissed if they changed the Storm v Warriors game as that's building up a traditionally good game

Plus one.

This game should be an unbroken tradition now that its up and running.

I'm also uncomfortable with the NRL trying to attract too much attention on a day that has nothing to go with them.

3 games max- the same 3 games as this year which was such s success.

Anymore is getting greedy.

They won't change the Sydney ANZAC Day game but willing to change the non-Sydney one, says a lot about where the administration is with their thinking.

As it's been said before this isn't about the NRL, AFL, RU or anyone else that wants an event on April 25, 3 games like a normal Saturday is all that's needed, we would've have our ANZAC Day games if it wasn't for the bravery of the ANZAC's

I not a fan of it have to say, seems the right respect balance at the moment. Having said that the game in Perth would likely be massive so for that point would be good to see, especially given the role WA played in terms of the troops leaving from Albany.

Not a fan of changing a formula that gave great results. Plus its too many games on Anzac day imo, 3 games like this year was a nice balance

Friday
8:00pm Raiders vs Tigers @ Bruce Stadium on 9 20,000+
Imagine if on Anzac Day eve all the major dignitaries in town attend a packed (with the right promotion) Canberra stadium. Regardless of on-field performance Anzac Eve could be the Raiders biggest game every season.

Saturday
1:30pm (3:30pm loc) Warriors vs Eels @ Eden Park on Fox 35,000+
Although I prefer continuity of matches it does make sense to have a Rugby League game in New Zealand on this anniversary. Although two Sydney clubs could play the Warriors would get the bigger crowd.

4:00pm Roosters vs Dragons @ SFS on 9 45,000+

6:00pm Storm vs Sea Eagles @ MRS on Fox 28,000+
The Sea Eagles would be the best alternate team to the Warriors

8:00pm Cowboys vs Sharks @ Willows on Fox 25,000+
It makes sense for Townsville to have an Anzac game so the Broncos match would need to shift to Sunday afternoon in order to maximise crowds

Sunday
2:00pm Bulldogs vs Panthers @ Stadium Oz on Fox 30,000+
With the right promotion a Western Sydney derby could crack 30,000

4:00pm Broncos vs Rabbitohs @ Lang Park on 9 45,000+
Likewise for this special event on a Sunday afternoon

Monday
7:00pm Knights vs Titans @ Newcastle on Fox 15,000+

in addition to these we should look at special Armed forces pre-match games

I agree with most posters in here that it should remain as per current 3 games. Anymore games is overkill.

Good idea for next year. I like it. This is something that hasn't come up in talk before
