Citizenship means nothing mate...Countless Aussies have got various European passports to get under the ESL quota,Willie mason, nsw & Aussie test player, famously, had a kiwi passport...Citizenship means nothing! Sam Burgess,Adrian Morley, jammer (i think) are Australian citizens, doesn't mean they instantly are eligible for Australia lol
Yeah I know I was agreeing with you, spellcheck changed 'spud' to 'paid' for some reason.

Knowing rugby league tho, the kiwis will name hurrell and vunivalu for them and nobody will bat an eyelid.

I know you was agreeing with me..I was just doubling down the point for these kids that show up every world cup year thinking they know better lol

And i hope the do select them....Then we'll get to see how important the RLIF think their rules are..

Does it just bug the sh!t out of everyone that the media is discussing ad nauseum possible Origin selections almost everyday. Even FB pages like The Grill Team are constantly speculating on the makeup of the NSW side. It makes me literally hate Origin..

lol nothing changes ;)

You can't live there for 5 years as a kid, move to Oz as a 12 year old,or what ever, and still be eligible for NZ...It doesn't work like that....

And it's shocking that only Ozzie's or kiwis that don't get it!! Wtf is wrong with you lot???

Are you referring to Ponga? If so, both of his parents are kiwis with one being a maori. He has a f**king maori surname FFS. He's a kiwi, and should be playing for NZ. If he goes against his parents wishes and declares himself eligible for QLD & Aus, he's an ungrateful lil dickhead IMHO.

Erm no,it was just a general comment about the residency laws..Some people think if you spend x amount of time in multiple countries you are eligible for all though countries..And that's just not true..

On ponga,he is eligible for a couple of countries, not got a problem with whoever he picks, good luck to him.

He was born in Australia. The choice is his.

Sadly I have no doubt if NZ decide they want to pick Vunivalu or Hurrell the RLIF want do anything to stop them.

As for the test match I think NZ have a huge chance to cause an upset. Foran makes such a massive difference to there team and they have RTS back aswell

I don't think they'll allow it, if they so blatanly break a rule they only changed last year due to outrage they are setting themselves up for a shitstorm.

I imagine Australia and Fiji would have done their research and both raise their concerns about the possibility.
