So I thought it could be a good idea to start a thread at the start of each month to make a few predictions for the month ahead.

The first one is for April, the games include:
RD5 Brisbane at Suncorp Fri night
RD6 Roosters at Pirtek Sat night
RD7 Tigers at ANZ Mon Arvo
RD8 Cowboys at 1300smiles Sat night

Now predict the result for each game, including score-
RD5- Brisbane 14 parra 24
RD6- parra 18 roosters 28
RD7- parra 32 tigers 10
RD8 cowboys 19 parra 12
The position on the ladder we will be come the end of April-
After RD8 we will have 8pts and be 9th on the ladder.

And as rep team will be chosen towards the end of the month, players who will make:
Australia team- Hayne
NZ team-
City team- Peats (i think he is city) Mannah
Country team-

I think the month ahead can really get us on a roll, apart from the Roosters game, we have some very winnable games coming up.
I won't be surprised if we beat the cowboys, I think that week is when rep players can't play? So no JT for them could be a huge help for us.

Looking forward to the month ahead, will see what kind of team we have this year, I believe it's close to a top 8 team.

I'd be happy with two of those four. I think we will give the Roosters a shake at Parra. I'm skeptical about the two Queenlsand games.

Brisbane: Eels by 8
Roosters: Roosters by 4 (we'll have something to prove, will do well, but not win)
Tigers: Eels by 14
Cowboys: Cowboys by 10

why won't JT be playing? SOO is the only time rep players miss games ... the Aus-NZ and City-COuntry matches still have their own weekend

And I agree with your rep players: hayne, peats, mannah ...... could Ma'u be a dark horse for NZ if he has some big games???

Players don't miss a game for the ANZAC test.

Teams are chosen Sunday arvo for the Friday night game

Everyone forgot Hoppa for rep teams. He'll 100% play for city.

Radrada could be a dark horse for city too if he switched his preferences from Fiji

i dunno if hoppa will make reps just yet ... don't get me wrong, he's doing very well and will be sensational, but i think he's still got some work to do .... having said that, dunno who else is city eligible

bit early for Hoppa I would think, probably needs more match fitness to step up to rep footy

I honestly did forget Hoppa for rep duties. Could be a smokey for city....

IMO:

Broncos 20 Eels 34

We historically play well up in Brisbane.

Roosters 18 Eels 22

I honestly think we can beat them at home.

Tigers 18 Eels 12

Tigers are our bogey team and they are playing well (this round notwithstanding).

Cowboys 14 Eels 28

We also tend to play well up in North Queensland.

Happy with 2 out of 4 and 1 close one from the first month, would be happy with 2 out of 4 in the next month.

Broncos: close one, hopefully a win
Roosters: loss, but hopefully closer than last time
Tigers: win, surely?
Cowboys: close one, expecting a loss to be honest

The rep season shouldn't hit us too hard, depends how many peope they want for City if established Origin players are excused as in previous years.
Aust: Hayne
City: Peats, Hopoate, Mannah

This weekend Brisbane will race to a 28 point lead.
Parramatta will return serve to score 40 points
Brisbane will recover to end up with 38 points.
The final score wil be 40-38 to us
Hence two records will be broken....biggest comeback ever in the NRL and most points scored by a losing team!
Seriously , I'd be happy with two wins in the next month.
And on Radradra , if we are to understand that he never played a game of league until last year, then surely his first senior football was played in Sydney
And so he qualifies for City, NSW and Australia.
