Given our lack of depth in the halves and the fact he can play in the backline we should give this nomad a new home.,

He is a great talent albeit with some past issues ...a cheaper Quade cooper in the making?

Problem is he is a running 5/8 and we need a half but still wont hurt for depth if we have money in the bank and nowhere to spend it. I think he could be another headache for opposition to worry about giving Hayne some time and space.

If he comes for $50-100k its worth a punt. After all the Eels are all for punting after getting drug cheat Maitua , were desperate for talent otherwise we will be also rans next year.

from the article ...

His manager, Sam Ayoub, told Cowboys officials the player and his partner had not settled well in North Queensland.

probably couldn't find enough off field altercations to get into up north

He looked really dangerous towards the end of the season playing at centre for the Cowboys. He is really good on his feet and a good defender. Wouldn't mind seeing him given a chance.

There's a reason why he's been sacked by so many clubs.

I don't care how talented he may or may not be. 6 Clubs in 6 years says something.

he caused us some problems when we played them the 2nd time. I'm all for giving players a 2nd or even 3rd chance but how many does this guy need? this reminds me of a saying about leopards and spots.

Brisbane, Roosters, Bulldogs, Melbourne, Tigers, and now Cowboys have all given him the punt. Not worth it my opinion. He's just had enough chances that's impossible for him to make it as a first grader.

Cowboys haven't kicked him for off-field dramas.
He's also said somewhere in a RLW article that he's stopped drinking.
Would be a good pick-up for any team, seems like he has stopped his off-field stuff.
And no he didn't cause any trouble at the Cowboys this year.

He was still punted for what reason or another. The guy's just got too much baggage IMO and doesn't have the mental strength to be a consistent first grader.

What's a running 5/8? Is there a standing still one?

He has massive issues in defence, according to the article that is why he was kicked. The thing is, you can coach defence into a player, but you can't teach them talent, of which he has a tonne.
I'll reserve my judgement though, because he is a massive liability in defence, but would be a strike weapon out wide or in the halves.

It says he wants out for 'personal reasons' and couldn't settle in Townsville. The kid has failed to settle at 6 clubs now so I think his problems still go a lot deeper than simply poor defense.

Yeah I definitely agree with you; I also read the other article on this, one article says personal reasons and the other says defence issues :?

If I remember correctly, he was the guy whilst playing for the Roosters, walked across field to an injured opposition player who was flat on his back and kicked him in the head. I never understood another club signing him to a contract.
