Yeah i assume there would be if there was in demo, but it was pretty rare in it but it was a demo i suppose.

there deffinatley are as mario explained that tryone the lead programmer was the best at doing them one night in the old chatroom.

interceptions were lame in the demo i dont think ive ever gotten 1 (though that probly cause the opposition only gets 1 set a game and the only time ive been intercepted was from the kick off i accedently passed from murphy over the sideline and before it hit the ground minichello intercepted it and scored in the 7th second!!

the very first time i played the demo, the score was 0 - 0 all the way through until there was about 20 seconds left when new zealand (i made the mistake of playing as easts) intercepted and scored under the posts. i was the only time ive seen it happen.

Yeah i've only got 1 or 2 intercepts.

Interceptions are included in the game. According to Mario, if an opportunity arises for an interception, using the Select Player button may not necessarily choose the closest player to the ball, but the one who may have a chance at getting an interception.

I think you misunderstood what Mario said furrycat (although I think there are probably still interceptions in the game, no idea). He said that if someone breaks through your line, etc, and you push the select player button, it will switch to the person most likely to intercept the ball *carrier*. Ie the person who will be able to catch up to the guy with the ball.
