Just looking through the current threads and i get the feeling we may be setting ourselves up for disappointment of some sort.

There is threads about matt rogers, colin best, treister, and rumours or trumours about them returning to toyota park. (im guilty of this, i started one about Matt Rogers which is from a reliable source, but anyway back to the point) Are we just wishig because we arent going to well at the moment? maybe i am.

I have been caught up in the whole who might come back thing that i almost forgot that my loyalty lies with the guys who are out there running around THIS YEAR however ordinary they are going. I know there is a few other forumers who may think the same way! but dont forget it is only early in the season, so lets give the guys a couple more chances :? then make our wishlists

I'm not letting myself get carried away with any of the rumours, simply because as you say it will just be another big disappoint to add to the already extensive list.

We do need to support the current players out there, they represent OUR team. They certainly aren't playing to their abilites but they do still deserve support from their fans.

The only rumour that has legs is the Mat Rogers one.
Then again he changes his mind like the wind so I wouldn't get overly confident on that one either............

As much as I'd love to have Matty back in sharks colours, i really think he will stay with the Waratahs for another 2-3 years at least.

I understand he is their second highest paid player behind Tuquiri, and you have to admit prior to his injury he was absolutely killing them.

Money is not all Matty desires. I reckon he wants an NRL premiership. I reckon he wants to play for Stuart Raper and Andrew Ettingshausen. I reckon he wants to make his Dad and his son happy. I reckon he wants to take back his scoring record. He has plenty of unfinished business at the Sharks.

Back on the topic though. The players on the field have never had anything but support from me. Coming on here and sharing ideas and rumours is half the fun. I think it's fine.

The Dean Treister rumours reached fever pitch before the season started and he never showed up

The Mat Rogers rumours have reached a similar level of intensity and youve gotta say that despite all the optimism, he's a long shot to return

The Colin Best thing isnt a rumour, it's just a wish

We have a good side now that is just lacking a bit of confidence. All these rumours sound great but there are 17 blokes that are working the arse off trying to get into some form.. Its going to happen, hopefully starting this Saturday arvo.. Thats all i'm concerned about. If a few of these romours come true, all good and well.. You might all see some surprises this week too..

Its funny.....directly after a bad performance everyone goes crazy and gets angry, this is understandable as most forum punters are passionate, however by mid week everyone calms down asnd starts thinking reasonably.

I agree that it is early days but the difference between us and the other teasm is alot, and im hoping the gap in performance doesnt get wider as the season goes on.
