Nothing was said about Nathan Armit, but I guess that him not really being up to 1st grade level just yet might have a lot to do with it.

Still it could get very interesting and definatly backs up reports that Armit hasn't signed anything, yet.

We've used 36 players in first grade this year - it's handy to have some guys around who you know can fill a spot and do solid (if not sensational) work when you need it.

Chris is under contract, and would be in our top 36 players easily. Unless he definitely wants out, then why not keep him?

Armit will stay with eels. I was talking to him a few weeks back. he said he hasn't signed anything and doesn't intend to.

Armit is a good prosect and hopefully stays at Parramatta. I'm sick of us releasing players who are under contract, while no other players are on the market we should hang onto him.

It wasn't that long ago that Ryan was the first player to sign from parra to the dogs in over a decade. It seems that they are trying to usurp the raiders and eagles as fast as they can. Considering that Armit is a local junior, you would hope that his instinctive hatred of the dogs might be enough to cause him a re-think.

could the Armit situation have something to do with one of our options not coming into fruition?? :?

:-k

Maybe, maybe not. Could be that depth is becoming a concern with a few leaving and having to rely on younger less experienced players.

you may be right Colonel.

As good a player as Chris is I would be prepared to offload him for the sake of a decent playmaker.

I've been to plenty of games and actually watch all three games. I think Thorman is great! Armit is definately a skillful back rower but I doubt that he will stay.

I choose to ignore Philips, the bloke simply has no idea if you look carefully he usually posts during and right after matches meaning he never really goes and likes to make outlandish comments about players he's hardley seen.

He hasnt had enough time. Thorman is rubbish. Armit could be could but usually forces offloads when it isnt necessary.
