Second-rower Nathan Hindmarsh made a club record 56 tackles against Wests Tigers on Sunday. He beat Paul Taylor's mark of 52, set in 1982. Adam Dykes and John Morris are expected to be recalled to first grade for Saturday night's match against the Knights in Newcastle after impressive performances in Sunday's premier league win over Balmain.

If Dykes and Morris get the call up, its goodby Witty or Thorman again.

Bring Morris up for Ginger, but leave Dykes there for a spell

I'd like to see Morris back - and maybe Dykes can be used in a similar role to that of Webster off the bench. He does tend to play a lot out of dummy half so it may be a better option?

Smith has no friggin idea. Either way, if you change your halves every friggin game, what are you gunna achieve?

All the dimwit Smith has done is say to the clubs 4 chief playmakers "no matter how well you do, you will probably not have your job next week!"

Where is the honour and loyalty in that, HJ???????

Knights by 50

Well, if it was in around the clubs, it must be true.

This is the column that had Mick Witt playing a couple of weeks ago

We'll all find out around 4ish today

If he is going to change around our play makers, why doesn't he put Witt in at 7 Morris in at 9 and Dykes in at 6.
Witt is a hlf back not a 5/8. He did very well in that position last year why not give him a fair go. All Smith has done is put Witt in a position that he is very ordinary at just to prove to all the fans that Smith is right and that Witt is not ready to be in 1st grade.

Stick with the halves, bring Morris back in at hooker. Dykes possibly on the bench, though he does not deserve that spot. Perhaps Mateo should get a chance this week.

Smith pretty much said last night on 2UE that Morris and Dykes will be back in First Grade this week. He still seems to think Dykes is the best half we have at the club and he just needed to regain confidence again.

Did I miss something? When did Adam Dykes, former 5/8 of the year should anyone that he was a going concern at halfback?

It certainly wasn't last year, and I don't know what he slipped in Brian's drink at the Xmas BBQ, but suddenly in this year's trials he was our first choice at 7? Give Witt and Thorman a go for at least as long as Dykes and Wagon got a shot...

bartman I agree but it's pretty much a certainty that Dykes will be somewhere in the 17 this week as will Morris. That begs the question...who will miss out? Thorman or Witt or both? :?

I guess we'll know at 4pm today...

Hopefully Thorman- I've been very unimpressed with him to date...If Dykes played like Thorman did on Sunday we'd have never heard the end of it. I say bring back Dykes, bye bye Thorman!

Thorman has been playing some good footy, he's just still adjusting to the NRL type of play

Dykes before he was dropped may have run side ways but he busted through the line numerous times. Give hima break in time he will gain confidence and be a better player. Watch the amount of skill he has and at time outsmarts his own team. The forwards need to play with aggression to the point where they are quite intimidating. Our forwards need to be up there so we can gain some valuable meters. Dykes kicking game is quite good as well whilst thorman needs a lot of work. :?
