Ewen McKenzie: Critics were calling for his head as NSW coach this time last year. Don't think so.
David Nucifora: Lost the confidence and goodwill of his players. Don't think so.
John Connolly: Lurches from sacking to sacking. Don't think so.
Clive Woodward: English, and his coaching methods were blamed for a disastrous Lions tour. Don't think so.
Eddie was the only realistic option.

And if Nucifora has lost confidence of his players why have the Blues hired him as head coach. We are talking about one of the top Super 14 sides around, I think they would know of a good or bad coach. Infact they hired Henry who is now the ABs coach.
skeepe said:The Brumbies are also one of the top Super 14 sides around. They also know a good coach from a bad coach. They got rid of a bad one. He's in fact the only coach that hasn't left because he's been appointed to the Wallabies.
lockyno1 said:Remind me how this great team went this year? Yep the Brumbies definately know a good coach from a bad one?
skeepe said:With the injuries the Brumbies had this year, they did remarkably well. Next year they will be back on top as the best Australian province, you can count on it.
lockyno1 said:Giteau played the majority of the season. Gregan is past it anyway. Larkham granted. Gerrard, you seriously counting a winger, and you had Sam Norton-Knight anyway! Ashley-Cooper a bench player. Honestly who cares, the bench only get on for 5 minutes at best anyway. Finegan, granted but he is getting on anyway. So out of that list you have 2 players! NSW had just as many injuries!
skeepe said:Actually the list is 8 players. Your dumbness astounds me. Ashley-Cooper was our starting winger idiot. Giteau missed the first few games of the season. Gerrard was a fullback/winger, and one of our top tryscorers from 2004. Ditto Rathbone and Mortlock.
The Brumbies had the worst injury toll in their history this season. They did quite well to get so close to the top 4.
lockyno1 said:Still a bit bitter from Jones being dumped are you and the fact that the national coach won't love the Brumbies' has-beens in the future are you!
skeepe said:No, I was countering your ridiculous statement that the Brumbies didn't miss any of the players that were missing.
Larkham was widely regarded as the best performing player at the start of the Super 12. Giteau was sorely missed, as was Gerrard. Ashley-Cooper showed plenty of promise and it was tragic that his season was cut so short. Without Gregan, the Brumbies had no direction; without Mortlock no captain and no punch up the middle. Without Rathbone, no flash out wide.
Still, better than supporting the Reds.
