Ashes Boxing Day Test, best seats?

I need to pick the brains re: seats @ MCG for those who've attend this ground regularly.

The beautiful bride & I are heading down to Melb for a week & want to cross off a bucket list entry, 1st day of an Ashes boxing day test (December 2017).

I need some guidance where the best seats are. We're happy to pay for the better category tickets, I 'm just not sure what part of the ground has the best view in shade, defo don't want to be coping the arvo sun. I learned a valuable lesson at the Gabba with arvo sun. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

we go every year, and sit in the southern stand.. for mine, it gives a great view, and you don't have the afternoon sun issue..

Bay 13 is pretty good...quite a relaxed crowd.
