PK, congrats on your divorce!!!! getting rid of his name will help you get over him completely and you can start fresh and independant, but you could keep his name so you'll have the same name as your kids unless you change their names aswell or you can have both your maiden name and his name and sound really posh 8)

I'm over him!

The same name as my kids appeals to me...i don't think I can change their names, I'm not sure on the legal side of that but i would have to have his blessing...i imagine.

Both names....trust me it won't work.

I wonder if he could force me to change my name back? :? I really have no idea on this ... guess i better find myself the free information on all this and be prepared!

PK .. last I heard if you want to change your name back to your maiden name it's gonna cost you.

He has to approve for the kids name to change though if he is listed on their birth certificates as the father.

Knightsmurf...yes his name is on the Birth Certificate as their father but really i wouldnt go to all that trouble in changing their name. Afterall it's only a name and they can choose to change it when they legally can at a later date if they want to.

And crusader...I just might keep that 1st line of W_S's quote in mind: Is a change of name necessary. Nah it don't bother me. Might bother him though!
