World Cup has been planned for years, nrl season didnt kick off later of finish later than planned. that was always going to be the scenario for nrl, or it wasn’t and still isn’t A scenario that would Have happened.
Obviously they didn't consider the need for quarantine periods years ago. How lax of them.

I'll tell you the reason. Either the 2022 NRL competition would have had to start later than agreed, or it would have started with the better half of its players missing. Either way leaving the NRL liable to litigation.

What's more important for the future of Rugby League a local comp ,ie the NRL or the world cup?
