So now we don't play another test until the ashes starting in November

I was thinking about this during the 4th Test given all the speculation around the South Africa tour and it seemed like long odds to go ahead.

Surely we can get a minnow nation out to to play a Test or two before the Ashes to get some Test Cricket so that we've actually played some long form Cricket instead of 4,978 T20's.

Last time that happened we beat them 3 nil and their captain took stress leave for the last test.

Shame we can't host another test or 2 here instead, even if it's something like Zimbabwe/Ireland/Afghanistan in Darwin/Hobart/Cairns. Sri Lanka or Pakistan free?

In conclusion T20 is shit.
Or even Australia vs Australia A (the best 22 players in the country) playing 3 four-day matches in the Top End around August-October.

South African virus cases a were out of control a month ago but their numbers have improved a lot in the last month. Active cases have more than halved from 239K down to 93K. Daily cases have dropped by about 80% from a month ago. Deaths trending down as well

South Africa is ranked 42nd in the world for deaths per capita from this virus. UK is ranked 5th in the world for deaths per capita. UK is way way worse for this virus than SA so can't see how Australia can go to the UK to play this World Test Championship final even if they make it

Underdogs, keep winning and toasties, thats all you need to know...
Mmm toasties.

we’re the little engine that could... consecutive World Cup finals, choked and thrashed then desperately unlucky (beyond belief tbh) and now through hard work and good fortune the #1 test team... who said nice gets you nowhere...

give us this, we’ll be rubbish again before too long

I wonder if they confiscated the SBW face masks from their officials?
