  please...you still go on about how aussie were missing all there star players, thats crap look at what NZ were missing from there team and they still beat you:

Stacey Jones,
Richard Swain,
Steve Keraney,
Andrew Lomu,
Robbie Paul,
David Vaealiki
Paul Rauhihi,
Craig Smith,

Plus all the others who play in the UK......

We Pulled a young kid out of BaterCard Cup and he played half back and cleaned you guys up, aussie are getting worried about the ammount of talent that is comming out of NZ hence why 90% of the NRL clubs have scouts over here signing players.....look at manly, they have set a club up here to sign players! And if you think the Warriors are big, wait till you see the kids coming out of batercard cup!!

Best three things to happen to Rugby League in NZ.....

1. Warriors making the Grand Final 2002

2. All Blacks losing in the gay world cup #-o #-o #-o

3. Kiwis beating aussie in 2003

its good to see the gap between the countries is getting closer.
the kiwis at full strength are as good as a full strength kangaroos side though the only problem for nz is a lack of depth. this seems to be improving though and should continue to improve based on the talent coming out of nz.
this years anzac test should be a cracker if both teams can get a full strength team on the paddock, meaning all super league players would have to be available

Is it true that it's becoming more common place for NRL sides to approach young Union players in New Zealand now?

Shows why NZ need more professional sides...or for Batercard Cup to become Semi-pro to try and stem the tide abit.

I think the results of both tests, the extremes, Aus thumping NZ and then NZ thumping Aus shows why they need to play a 3 test series between the two nations. Then we can truely see who is best nation.

3 test series are they way to go, thats the only way to find out who is the best team in the world...one off test are nothing as you can see by the results of the two test last year....

If Bartercard Cup when prof, It would be so unreal for New Zealand, and all the Pacific nations.

I am firmly behind test series instead of one-off tests or tri-nations.

One of my biggest hopes is that the RFL and ARL revive 3 test Lions Tours. I have also been a big supporter of traditional 3 test Kangaroo Tours.

But I don't think NZ need to play Australia in a 3 test series. An annual two test series, home and away, would be just as good and leaves more room for NZ and Australia to play other countries.

A two-test series also has more chance of actually happening.

As it stands now we have two one-off tests that are both meaningless. Stage them on consecutive weekends, commission a nice trophy and promote it as a series and it will be a roaring success.

It is in the NRL's long term interests to put some of the revenue it earns in NZ back into NZ. Subsidising a higher quality national domestic comp would be an excellent way to do this. It would boost interest in RL and improve the development of players by lessening the gap in quality between Bartercard Cup and NRL. Some sort of feeder club arrangement with Aus based NRL clubs like they have with Qld Cup sides might also be a good idea.

How bout a club challange between Old cup and Bartercard cup teams??

To be honest the tri series is going to make the 3 nations even stronger than the rest so yeah you are right more internationals must be played each year...even if aussie A went to lebanon and played a 3 match test series?? #-o

Australia are still up on top, but you cant really compare them with that game against the Kiwis in Sydney. The Kiwi side was a crap side, and deserved to get beat by 40 points. They got better in that game in Auckland, Im sure beating the Aussies 30-16 has boosted their confidence. Now players like Faumuina, Leualai and Galavao have gained a bit of experience in test football. I hope the next test will be a contest, both sides full strengthed.
