Sangha was probably named in the A Team on the back of the ton he made last season. Mind that's all he did all year and one of those "potential" signings.

He is very aggressive and really needs to mature a bit and better shot selection which is typical of young batsmen on the rise. The highlights of his ton were pretty amazing but needs to reproduce that form more than once a year.

Josh Ingliss, Scott Boland and Travis Head are in the test team and the team A team

???????

Dont think any dates are set, but reading the article seems "A" games will overlap with the main tour games

Didnt think much of it, but its actually not a bad thing, especfially for Inglis and Boland real game time, in case they are needed at some point

Maybe the powerful Bison has replaced Head in the test team ?

Australia A set for first tour since start of pandemic

'A' team to play two one-day and two four-day games in Sri Lanka during bumper all-format Aussie tour in June-July

Australia will send an 'A' side abroad for the first time since the pandemic began, with more than 30 of the country's leading men's cricketers to head to Sri Lanka later this year.

Four separate squads are set to be named on Friday for an all-format tour of the island nation beginning in June that will also see Australia A play two 50-over matches and two four-day games.

It means a large contingent of players will head to Sri Lanka, with significant overlap between squads for the three T20Is, five ODIs, two Tests and four A fixtures expected.

The main Sri Lanka-Australia white-ball matches will be played in Colombo and Kandy, while the two Tests will both be hosted in Galle.

Finchy has no place in the ODI team anymore. He should stay in the t20 side and retire after the WC.

We are waisting our time with him... : D

No room

Zampa missing as well, but awiting birth of his first kid when tour is on

No room for Ben McDermott as Australia name full strength squads for Sri Lanka series

Australia A:

June 8: First one-day match, Colombo
June 10: Second one-day game, Colombo
June 14-17: Four-day tour match, Hambantota
June 21-24: Four-day tour match, Hambantota

We've got two new assistant coaches!
✌️

Victorian Andre Borovec and New Zealand legend Daniel Vettori will officially start their roles on the tour to Sri Lanka.

Interesting to see Captain Dan there… wish he was involved in our set up

but who’d have thought in cricket a kiwi would be head coach of the Poms and assistant in Straya

who’d have thought Vettori would be assistant to McDonald? 😂

Ongoing turmoil in Sri Lanka has forced changes to Australia’s white-ball matches on next month’s tour.

With the country short of fuel and medicines, and struggling with rolling power cuts, Australia’s three Twenty20 and five one-day matches between June 7 and 24 have been moved to day games.

Looks like tour going ahead at this stage, we have flown out

Macca to miss first week

Australia head coach Andrew McDonald has tested positive for Covid-19 and will miss the opening week of the Sri Lanka tour.

McDonald was unable to fly out as scheduled and will isolate for seven days before joining up with the squad. He is expected to be with the side before the second T20I on June 8.

Assistant coach Michael Di Venuto will take charge of the squad for the early days of the trip. Spin coach S Sriram and former Australia quick Clint McKay are also part of the backroom staff for the T20I and ODI series.

So apart from his 104 his next best score was 45. Average of 26.08.

Last played first class cricket in 2019.

George Bailey is on the baileys.

If head were to be out and we go with at least two spinners then I thought Marsh would be in.

I don't think head or Maxwell are threatening enough with the ball to be seen as a test all rounder. Labuschange is more likely to grab a wicket.
