Australian PM XIII - 2015 outing ???

Normally selected with a post season tournament lurking and provides a last opportunity for some players to put forward their case for selection in said tournament.


No post season games this year - so will players be as interested in being selected for an exhibition game in PNG ???

The game does usually also double as a promotion of a health or social issue promotion, so I'm guessing it will still go ahead at PNG's insistence.



As a side issue, wonder if NZ would ever do something similar with a Pacific nation ? Or England and/or France with a northern hemisphere opponent ?

I think they may be going to Fiji this year.

Small snippet in this month's Rugby League Review mentions the possibility of the PM XIII playing both in PNG and Fiji.

Mmmm.....will have to wait and see.

With the situation this year being that the PMXIII most likely playing against a PNG team drawn solely from the local comp (i.e. with overseas based players or Hunters contracted players).......would it not be a a good PR exercise to reward 2 or 3 players from Australia's lower tiers ?

One each from NSW / QLD Country and another from the Affiliated States ?
