A fully fit Harry Kewell. For reference, they way he carved up Uruguay in Sydney and Croatia at Stuttgart.

Mark Viduka, at his best at Leeds United when they made the Champions League.

Mark Bosnich - for a time, one of the best keepers in the world.

There's three.

You're lucky I don't have a front lawn.

When I say world class I'm talking about the likes of Ronaldinho, Viera, Ballack, Schevchenko, Cannovaro etc i.e the absolute cream of the game, despite there rep. in Oz our boys werent considered as ever being among the top 20-30 players in the game.

Harry at one time looked like he might get there but he hasnt lived up to his early promise, Dukes has always been to hot/cold to be considerd and I'll grant you that Mark got awfully close but...hang on I'll give you Bosnich (just), where do you live.

Like I said....you are off the hook because I dont have a front lawn.

Kewell at Leeds and early in his spell at Liverpool was world class, no doubt, but he has never been fully fit since he did his groin.

Likewise Viduka, at his best at Leeds he was being courted by big clubs in both Spain and Italy. Why oh why he went to Boro......it's all be down hill since.

Some interesting reading from EPL4LIFE....

Adu vs Wesolowski: Both are midfielders, admittedly Adu is a Midfielder/Striker, where as Wesolowski is a box-to-box midfielder, Adu is 17 and playing for DC United in the MLS, people in and outside of the US have been keeping tabs on him for quite a long time, and had him touted as a potential world class player, with the same ability of Rossi and John Obi Mikel. However in the last year or so the US fans have become more and more sceptical, and he hasnt lived up anywhere near those expectations put on him. Now we compare him to James, probably at the moment the best young prospect Australia has, and in the top 3 young players in the championship. James is already crowned as the best young prospect out of Leicester in 25 years, hes 18 and would have played all of last season if not for his broken leg, will play all of this season, barring injury and looks set to make a huge impact on the championship for a man so young.

Johnson vs Williams: Now im not disputing the fact that johnson is the better player at the moment, but im talking prospects here. Johnson is 22, where as Williams is 18. But are both out and out strikers. Williams has forced his way into probably the best team in Scandanavia, after rejecting offers from Liverpool and Man Utd, for more regular first team action at Brondy, and looks set to see EUFA cup action this year because of some prolific scoring of late. Johnson is playing in the MLS but has won some awards for top goal scorer etc, and is a semi-regular for the US national team. Where as Williams, has only represented Aus at junior level. They are similar in style, with Williams being alot quicker however, but Johnson stronger in the air. It would be more fair however, at the moment, to compare 21 yr old Nick Ward with Johnson, or Josh Kennedy, just an indication of the depth at the moment of those coming through.

Harry Kewell Circa 2001 at Leeds and also at international level against France in Melbourne. He made France look silly.

I see Harry Kewell in the same class as Robbie Keane, mercurial on his day but lacking that level of consistency

His main problem has been fitness, it's been ages since he was actually 100% fit.

So Cahill, Kewell and Schwarzer are sh*t according to Noa Nandruku.
I wouldnt say sh*t but not really world XI candidates, I mean Chaill, good player but wouldn't stack up against the likes of Steven Gerrard, Deco, Kaka, etc. Kewell we've discussed, and Schwarzer just doesn't stack up against guys like Casillas, Buffon, Van Der Sar, etc

that alone is your big mistake. Thats not World Class, thats the cream of the crop. World class is WELL behind the players you mentioned.

No mistake. The very best player's are placed in the world-class group, always have, always will.

Les Murray for example only rates the very best players in the world as world-class, if you rate them differently that's fine but dont tell me how to suck egg's.

And to try to argue that Viduka and Kewell ever reached this level is patently ridiculous.

I think world class is world XI or there abouts, so say top 20 players in the world, anything beyond that would cheapen the label. I'd say Schwarzer is a top class professional, Kewell is enigmatic, and Cahill is fast developing into a top class professional, if he isn't in that category already

He wont be world class with the names of Rooney or Ronaldo etc...because if he was he would already be playing for a major club in the run-on side.
