The Incredible Back To The Future Prediction That Could Still Come True
Sports fans are going crazy over this 'prophecy'.

Back to the Future fans will know the date: October 21, 2015. It’s the day that Marty McFly travels to the future.

While it’s looking like flying cars and hover boards won’t be a reality in a weeks time one prediction is still holding true.

On Tuesday night in the US, the Chicago Cubs advanced to the National League Championship Series with a 6-4 victory over the top-seeded St. Louis Cardinals.

It’s the first time in 12 years they’ve made the series and it keeps them alive in the race for the all important World Series, which they last won came in 1908.

And what’s this have to do with Back to the Future?

When Marty arrives in 2015 a hologram appears telling residents on Hill Valley that Chicago had won the 2015 World Series.

"Who would have thought – 100-1 shot," an old man utters to Marty McFly.

"I wish I could go back to the beginning of the season and put some money on the Cubs."

The prediction was bizarre even back then, as it had already been a 81 years since the Cubs won the World Series.

Now, in 2015, the drought still stands at 107 years with the Cubs now less than 10 wins away from fulfilling this incredible Back to the Future 'prophecy'.

Great Scott!

Except their opponents are in the movie are NL too, so it'd be ahrd ofr them to play each other in a WS, so it'd only be a half correct prediction.

Pretty good get that they guessed there would be a team in Miami though considering there were no Florida teams when the movie came out

If you look really closely at the background of the opening of the second one, you can see it predicting that alien will switch teams.
