Benny Elias has come out against Gus Gould and called for him to step down as NSW coach.
Benny reckons Gould's rift with Andrew Johns is creating an unhealthy environment.

Benny's just concerned aboutseeing his name in the papers from time to time, not about what drivel his name is associated with. There wouldn't have been a rift to start with if Johns wasn't so <span>precocious</span>.

The name "Back Door Benny" started at the time of a major scandal Elias was alleged to have taken part in.

The story goes that on a pre-season trip to Northern NSW with the Balmain side many years ago, Steve Knight scored and was doing the deed when Benny walked in.

The young lady felt a pinprick in her bum shortly afterward as Benny had backdoored her.
