It concerns me that they only signed for one year. I thought Grothe would want to stick with parra for life now. And Jack is young and playing some great football. he wouldn't of got the chance at any other club so why would he only sign for 1 year. I would of hoped the board would of offered the 2 players an extended contract then just 1 year.

They didn't sign new contracts, they just ahd the options on their contracts taken up.

We've just taken up next yr's option on Grothe, it wasn't a case of re-signing him. Not sure bout Jack but with plenty of players coming off contract next year they probably thought they'd sum up everyone then.

I'm betting that they put that up due to all the emails they were getting about them.

But I was under the impression that Jack was still signed for 2005 before hand I read a quote from Smith about it (forget where) so maybe they mean he was signed till end of 2006 so 1 year extension on current deal.

Either way great news, but yeah interesting that Morrison wasn't announced aswell unless they are waiting a big(ish) name signing
