Balance in attack

After watching the Sharks for 2 weeks in a row ( i dont have Pay tv) 2 thinds are clear:

1 we are the best team in at offloading and getting 2nd phase play;
BUT

2. we are also making too many mistakes from pushing too many passes when under pressure.

If we can become more selective with our off-loads then I believe we can make a real impacy over the remainding part of the season.

If we continue to throw so many speculative passes we will look promising but fail to deliver on this promise and miss out on the finals.

Clearly we should make the semis - few teams play as attractrive and expansive game as we do but we are making too many stupid errors.

If we can find a find a good balance between offloading and hitups then I believe we we should reach the semis.

As a fellow brissy sharkie, I'm sure your going thorugh the same thign I am.. it s sooo sweet when we can jeer our mates when we win, but so tough when we lose.. think - SL final 97.. argh!!

Your definately right there mate. They need to find a balance, and learn when the right time is to throw the offload. But even then.. anytime you throw an offload it's a risk because the other player might not expect it or the pass might not be accurate. I dunno.. it's hard. Be conservative and limit our attack even more? Or take the risk and hope they can execute properly on the day. Hopefully over the next few weeks they find a balance, as you said.

Yeah mate i'm glad we are starting to plsy to more expansive footy but we are throwing too many dumb passes under pressure. We're clearly causing teams plenty of grief with our offloads but also coming up with some bad errors early in the tackle count.

But its good to see us getting back to some enterprising attack after tghe dark years of andersons reign.

Thats right McSharkie. I'm sure we would have won at least 2 out of our last 3 games if we had Noddy fit and playing. That's costing us badly.

Yep, when we are that close to the opposition, a class player like him makes the difference.

In the last 3 weeks we have been level with the opposition with 15 min to go only to go down. We just seem to lose our way when we get in that possy. We were all the over the Broncos when we got to 12 all and likewise aginst the stains.

Losing Kimmorley is killing us at the moment

That's about the size of it Chili.
The only encouragement I have been getting from the last few weeks is knowing how close we are without Noddy.

Yet when you look at, say, Newcastle, they have fallen to s**t without Joey.
If we can get a full team on the park I think we are going to surprise a lot of people.

It might not be this year, but I'm really starting to be excited about next
