Band Names

Hi, guys (and/or girls). I play in a band with four other people around my age (mid-fifties). We play mostly original rock/pop. We've been playing together for between 12 months to two years and we're now looking at playing a few gigs (which is exciting). Trouble is, we can't come up with a name for the band. Every name we think of has already been used before. (Even 'The Merkins' is an existing band, would you believe?) So I'm wondering if anyone out there might have a good original name that we could use. (Nothing too silly, of course.) Cheers.

First of all, congratulations!

Secondly, who would you say are your biggest influences? I ask because there is no point suggesting a name like Satan's c**k of Burning Awesomeness if you play glam rock, for example.

What about something like The Three Quarters (an obvious nod to your love of footy)?

What's your next thread going to be: Song Lyrics or Melodies?

Choose your own name or what's the point of being involved in a creative collaboration?

Or you could go with The Indecisive Four

A Game of Two Halves.

Gerry and the Pisstakers

The Paul Carriage Return

and of course........Lingard Skingard.

Jack flash and the amazing melons

Not really sure why. But I would see a band with a name like that on principle...
