Manly for me as it helps resolve a few of the debates we have in this place.

1. Hasler can really coach and would have been a great pick up for us.
2. Barrett can’t coach and would not be a good pick up for us.
3. With Hasler being successful Toovey becomes a real and viable option for us.
4. Clubs can exit JV’s or the like thereof and not only survive but prosper.

What if you like the Raiders but hate that angry little doofus who doesn't know what a spear tackle is? Seeing Sticky celebrate would take a bit of the shine off it. But I agree they're probably the pick of the top 4.

I could also make a case for Parra, Penrith and Newcastle (if they sneak in).

I'd like to see a smokey grab the title this year.
Manly would be my first choice just because of what Dessie has managed to achieve with a roster Barrett couldn't get going.
After that Canberra and then Penrith.
Whether these teams can play the kind of clinical football required to win 3-4 finals games to be premiers, remains to be seen.
