Banner Request

G'day guys - I've got a unique request here, and something a little challenging. As some of you might know, I run a fantasy rugby league competition. We're currently looking at commissioning a website etc and I'm in need of two things:

1). A banner for the All-Star Rugby League (ASRL for short)
2). A logo for the ASRL. Something like the NRL logo, for example, but not just a knock off of it

Basically, we're looking for a slick, more professional look and I thought I'd ask the budding artists here to give it a shot.

For a professional look I would be asking someone like Bula or El Coconuto.

Nope, still no offers. If worst comes to worst, I'll pay a professional to do it. Just thought this would be a good way to get it done cheap and give somebody an opportunity to get their work seen on a website.

Certainly not taking a pot shot @ you here dude, moreso just a little tidbit that I didn't think warranted a new thread.

I think the main reason designers are hesitant to do things is that once they do them people either don't use their art or they use it for a couple of days to a week and then request something new. I know I for one am hesitant to do banners for that reason. I don't think it's fair to the graphic designers (who do it all for nothing, as well) when people do that either.

Anyways, this wasn't directed @ you misanthorpe. Just a comment in general.

Exactly. I'm now extremely hesistant to do banners.

We need clear instructions.
You can't come on here and say 'I need a logo and a banner. Thanks'.
We can't sit on Google Images all night looking for the ones you want.
You have to provide us with some sort of an idea or direction. Or else, it won't get done.
