Woohoo off to Rotorua we go. Be great to see the local lads in action. I'll make sure I take one or two photos for our viewing pleasure..it'll be a challenge and a half for the newbies in the competition.

Jets/Raiders...Tigers/Tornadoes....Bulls/Lions... what a round!!

i think waicoa will go pretty good against the brothers, after seeing them up close on sunday.

some big boys who hit hard & don`t mind being hit either. i`d love to be able to watch that one.

cheers dazza

Looks like wet grounds for most if not all of the matches.
That should make things pretty interesting.

I'm picking a narrow victory to Marist Richmond Brothers. Say
6-10 points. I'm only picking them because they have greater
experience in Bartercard, Bernie Perenara is a wily old coach and
I'm an adopted jafa

Seriously, good luck to the boys from the bay. They have impressed
me so far and I'm starting to think if they can continue their form
into the second half of the comp then they could well be top 5 contenders.

Early days yet but some of the more fancied teams have not started
well. Grab those precious points while you can.

Cheers

Yes Phil,
I'm picking the Waicoa Bay boys may just hit a stumbling block in Rotorua.
Marist Richmond Brothers have the experience, but you never know..
Definitely will be wet weather tomorrow in Rotorua.

I meant to say that Puketewhero Park is a great Rugby League Park.
I wish we had ground complexes like that in Auckland....and there
is a terrific pub just round the corner...

I have a feeling Marcus Perenara may stand up big time for Marist this weekend.

Gee its terrific to think of the quality coming through.

Would love to see a ratings guide on the Warriors performances in their Bartercard units - but I guess with lack of TV coverage that'd make it quite difficult.

dazza, that's a pretty good result for your side. The Tigers are a much
more experienced outfit than your guys are currently and to go home
with a point has got to be goodness. Unfortunately I didn't make it out
to the game. Can you give us a quick run down. How did the Smurf go.

Cheers

Tigers 20 Tornadeos 20

Halftime: 10-8 Tornadeos.

At one stage it was 20-8 to the Tornadeos, Tigers cam back with some outstanding tries to Karl Johnson and Soiano Lui. Then the Tigers got a penltey 30 meteres out 15 meters from the touch line and convereted it with 4 minutes to go to level the scores. Tigers bombed to chances to go for a field goal, then forced a line drop out and the referee should of stop the clock as eastern took their time but instead the hooter went and the refeere blew fulltime.

Torandeos Should of won by heaps but a good fight back from the Tigers in slippry conditions, meant they should of won...but deffently the best Bartercard Game I have ever seen...well done boys

PS: Good to see Awen Gutenbeil at the game too...Crowed 300
