What a drive from Whincup.

Yep and when you consider the margin on the Shootout, plus how quick that car was at Sandown, you have to think the boys and FPR, and the other teams are going to put a few orders for chassis parts in at Pace engineering. The car Whincup is driving was only finished pre Sandown, and is markedly quicker that the field.

My predication for the race, Which for same brake rotors to expire somewhere from 400ks on.

Do they still do Bathurst?

Is Dick Johnson driving?

Dick Johnson.....should have been a porn star. What were his parents thinking? I guess the parents of c**k Penis were less thoughtful.

I went to Bathurst at the ages of 7 (Moffat / Bond Cobras with the big blue stripe) and 18 (can't remember, but attempted to take 17 cartons onto Mountain and instead camped nearby and then some other stuff happened).

The gearboxes might also struggle to last the distance have not being testing has shown the are vunerable after about 600 km at race pace
Add a forecast of rain to the mix and could be one of the most exciting races in a few years can't wait

Why they moved to a transaxle gearbox is beyond me. The Hollinger gearbox was tried and tested over decades. It's not cost efficient if the are blowing up every 600kms. Moving weight away from the center of the car to the rear also affects the weight distribution of the car. They all look like they are really struggling with set up and are 1.5-2 seconds down on qualifying times this year.

Yep, Considering the number of issues with the Transaxle in the initial stages of the development of COF, it will be interesting to see them last the distance.

Was a good race Dumbrell going off twice in 3 laps cost Whincup up until that point they were running away with it, those last 10 laps were intense

I think MITS means that the spraying of the champagne wildly into the crowd is a modern day metaphor for what old school drivers used to do after a victory.
