Anyone following this story? Baylor is currently in the process of firing Art Briles who took them from no where to contenders in a very short time.
The findings of fact released from the university (not the full report) can be found here:

Scroll down to the football section.
A time line of major events can be found here:

Clearly, at minimum, you can see that there is a trend with football players and misconduct that needed to be addressed in some form although the findings don't get into the nitty gritty.
Anyway, I have just got done with a lengthy twitter discussion/argument with a yank that thinks Briles did not deserve to be fired. He basically thinks that it is not Briles fault that these events were taking place and that all blame here should be on the Waco police - if indeed all crimes were actually committed. He also argued that other top programs have managed to brush similar situations under the rug which is outside of my knowledge. He conveniently ignores the two players there were dismissed from other programs and then found a home at Baylor where one has been convicted of a crime and the other accused of two assualts. To my knowledge, if you are dismissed from a program you don't make an upward or lateral move and in many cases you never play again.
Personally, I think the findings of fact say it all and more detail is surely in the full report. Clearly Briles is an excellent coach and the players loved him but I doubt the university would let him go unless the full report shows cause. Without cause they would be paying him until 2023.
Anyone care to chime in from an Aussie point of view?
