Beadman Factor

Not a poster on this forum but I was interested in your thoughts on the weight you give when Beadmen is the jockey.
I ask this cos i backed Eight Kisses (ran third) at a race at Warwick farm today. Beadman's mount, Winkurra ($9) won the race and i didn't really consider it a winning chance, besides the fact that Beadman was on board. I reckon if Beadman wasn't riding the horse it would probably be about 15/1.
On the other hand, when Beadman is on a horse that really shouldn't be a winning chance, the odds are far shorter than what they should be and...............you see the dilemma???

i guess i'm just after some opinions on the weight that you give when you see D. Beadman next to a horse..............especially when it's one that you would not have considered otherwise.

I simply go with form. If I don't think it can win, I leave it out, Beadman or no Beadman.

No doubting his mounts are shorter than they perhaps would be if another hoop was on board. Depends on the race too... I tend to stay away from midweek betting and look at the better class of horse on a weekend. So the Beadman factor isn't as strong then...

The bloke can win on a rocking horse though!

Whatever horse he is on is about 8 points shorter on the tote than what it is on track.
I personally don't like to be on horses he rides.
Give some apprentice the rides that he has in a season and i'd guarantee they'd win at least 80% as what he would of. He's riding for Hawkes who has the biggest and probably the best stables going around, who really sets the horses for race. Very rarely do you see a horse flop with Hawkes next to it's name.

i'm a massive beadman fan

if i think 2 horses will fight out the finish, i'll check to see if beadman is riding either of them. if he is, i'll be on it.

he seems to get everything out of the horse
