Bearshare downloading program

I have gone through computer problems with Kazaa before, and didn't use any such programs for a while. Now one of my kids has installed a program called Bearshare, which seems to be working fine so far. Does anyone know if it can cause problems with the computer?

Most people seem to recommend Win MX or Limewire. Haven't heard too many people suggest bearshare for a few years now.

Steve, my advice is to get rid of Bearshare. It is chocka block full of
spyware. Bonzai Buddy and a raft of other stuff. Make sure you run a
couple of good anti spyware programs after you have deleted it.

Jed is on the mark - Win MX or LimeWire are the go.

WinMX's biggest problem is that it's search for videos only searchs for avi's, mpeg's and asf's. And not wmv's or mov's.
