has he played 348 games? I dont think so, because that would mean he is one away from the record, and I was under the impression that if he played every single possible game this year (so not skipping a final for coming 1st or 2nd either I would imagine) he would beat it, I hope he does but I think its impossible because he missed 1 through injury....damn last years mystery groin injury that kept him out for 12 weeks or so!

They could be counting all games played for the club in all grades. The Bulldogs do it for their players.

he has 334 games till now
13 rounds to go
-1 for the bye
= 12

if Manly were to make it to the GF
that is 3 more so he would be

349 games baring injury *touches wood*

that would draw him level with Lamb

so I was right then, as playing every single possible game breaks the record so missing one equals the record....that 1 game in round 8 or 9 when he missed it through injury could hurt him, but tying the record is still an achivement, and is simply a testament to the longevity of lamb and menzies

manly players all in the top 6 for most games, manly produces them well, although I havent heard of the geoff gerard guy, maybe not produced by manly....but f**k it pisses me off they dont include menzies time at the northen eagles as time at manly, he would have time at 1 club record easily, and its not like he signed at another club or anything, which I think is the spirit of that record; loyal players and he is the most loyal of them all

Going to miss Beaver playing for Manly big time, he is a true champion of our game and a rare example of loyalty in the game today!

Gutted. Can't say anything else right now. Completely and utterly gutted.

You'd think he would've announced it himself surely. I'm clinging onto the hope that for that reason it isn't true.

Defo going to tear up if true.

Menzies has played 3 more games than the NRL average this year, he scores more tries than the NRL average and makes less errors.

On paper, he's not quite ready for retirement.

1 more season from the Beaver, he is still playing well and could go around for one more year quite easily. He would be ideal off the bench as our utility, bring him on when the opposition is tiring!!!!
