On One HD, Just said he signed another deal with Catalans for next year which would make him 39 at the end of 2012. Absolute Ironman and I admire what he does on the field and what he does off with his foundation.

I heard that you guys knocked him back for next year, Don't know whether it was fiction or fact. But It's a shame. He'd have the guarantee to re-break Lockyer's record and have it sewn up for another few years. But obviously Manly want to go in a different direction if it was true.

But I absolute love him as a player.

We would have had to give up a quality youngster or two if he returned. No thanks.
Would love to see him back in an off field role, I'm sure we will one day.
He's enjoying his time in France though, there are a lot worse places he could be.

I'm in 2 minds about it. I don't think there is anyone around that would not love to see Beaver come back to Manly and with the current crop of players, there is no reason he couldn't win another premiership. I don't think beaver would want to come back into the team if he didn't think he had something to offer and his form in the ESL suggests he could handle it. Having said that, there is every chance his return could force one of the young blokes out the door. Manly wouldn't want to lose someone like Lussick or Oldfield (who could be at the club for 10 years) in order to have Beaver back for 1 season. It's a tough one and I have no doubt absolutely everythign was considered when the decision was made because there is not a single person at Manly who does not admire the bloke.

I've been following Catalans this year.
Menzies is loving the south of France and is in top form right now.
The French fans have a bad case of Beaver fever - they call him Sir Menzies and love the guy.

Catalans whooped Hull KR in the first final and Menzies was easily MOTM. the highlights are worth watching for Beaver fans.
