Signed (with the dogs) midway through this year from somewhere up north Queensland. Has played about 6 or 7 games in Jersey Flegg and is apparently ripping it up. Some has touted him as a future Thursten type player which is a pretty big wrap.

Has anyone seen this kid play and give me some info on him? Any info what so ever would be appreciated.

He was playing in the Mackay comp in Queensland with his brother Aaron who has had stints with Penrith and Brisbane. Have seen Aaron play for Penrith and he's got a lot of natural talent but I don't think Sydney life agreed with him and he eventually went back home. Should be interesting to see how Ben goes down here.

Thanks for that guys.

The Bulldogs Jersey Flegg side have snatched 2nd spot from the Eels following their 48-14 win over the blue-and-golds at Telstra Stadium this evening.

The Bulldogs led 16-10 at half-time before five-eighth Ben Barba put on a show to help steer the Dogs to a comfortable win.

Barba managed two tries in quick succession late in the game, including a sideline conversion only bettered by the likes of Hazem El Masri.

The 18-year-old scored a total of 20 points (2 tries, 6 goals), taking his tally to 62 points from just five appearances at the club.

The Bulldogs now face the 4th placed Canberra Raiders and will be looking to hold onto 2nd spot with another victory.

Tries: 9
Ben Barba (2), Esi Tonga (2), Chris Afamasaga, Ryan Millard, Chris Vaefaga, David Te Huia, Daniel Harrison

Goals: 6
Ben Barba (6)
