He Should captain the side in 2005 and beyond.

Benny rose to the challange as captain in 2001 and was out best player week in week out. I think that extra bit of responsibility will be great for him and it will be good to have a younger player as captain. He has shown glimpses this season of what he is capable of and is a smart footballer. To be any show next year he really need him to be at his best.

i see no other obvious choices for next season.

If any one saw that game against Canberra where he was our stand-in captain (about 4th choice) in which he single handedly lead an under strength team to a surprise win you'll remember why he is the obvious choice for captain and arguably our most talented player on form.

I totally agree, I think he should have been captain this year.
I have always rated him big time.
This team would look the goods:

1 Brett Hodgson
2 Daniel Fitzhenry
3 Dene Halatua
4 Paul Fatauria
5 Pat Richards
6 Benji Marshall
7 Scott Prince
13 Ben Galea (C)
12 Anthony Laffranci
11 Chris Heingington
10 John Skandallis
9 Robert Mears
8 Bryce Gibbs

14 Gray Viane
15 Jeff Lima
16 Robert Farah
17 Todd Payten

i dont really want Mears, but then again i dont want Galea at dummy half either. leaving it all to farah might be a bit risky.

No risk at all. Give him the chance and he'd love it.

Farah looks like he loves the challenge of playing 1st grade. He was average when moved back to PL this year. He looked bored

Galea
O'Neill
Hodgson
Prince
Skandallis

I really can not see anyone else even being considered other than those 5.
Id like it to be Hodgson or Galea.
