Ben Hannant?

Reports tonight that he is out of favour with coach Griffin and the Broncs are looking to offload him. currently on $500,000 a season would be forced to take a huge cut. This is one we should go after. Not huge but mobile and goes all day when fit. Thoughts?

He always seems to do his job but depends on why he is out of favour

Problem is he seems to be injured a lot......think we could spend our dollars elsewhere...besides didnt he leave The Dogs because his wife was homesick for Qld.

He'll get home sick after a year or so... Done it to the Roosters and Dogs!

Based on the home sickness theory only the Titans fit the criteria as North Qld is quite far up north.

Yes. Has the experience and the size we need up front. Still churning out good numbers with metres gained and tackles made. Only real issue is he has a young family so I would doubt that he would want to uproot them again.

Hannant would still command decent coin. I'd prefer the club approached Sam Moa. Moa is playing good footy and is a couple of years younger than Hannant. Would potentially come at cheaper coin as well.

Moa is a bit of a concern in defence...He takes the ball up hard though and it would be a handy pick up. I still think Kasiano is the missing piece of the puzzle. He can really soften the opposition up in the first 15 minutes and then guys like De Belin and Stockwell can use their leg speed to keep the momentum going. It's often that first 15 minutes that sets a platform and tempo for the rest of the match. Then after half time he can come on and do it again.

Forget Hannant, won't leave Qld, made it clear he did not fit into Sydney lifestyle, family links etc.
go for Sam Moa...

Pass on Kasiano. He can cause trouble in attack when he wants to but can go missing. Overweight + lazy defender.
