Ben is a good strong player - can break the line and find it to. With the likes of Matt King, Geyer, Cooper, Slater, Turner, Bell (now there is a guy I'd like to see play for us), Webster and Cronk all looking for spots in their backline he may be enticed elsewhere.

Rather take a punt and run with with Ben Smith rather than Mcdougall, but thats just my preference.

No offence oldmancraigy but do you remember how good Whatuira was when he was at Melbourne? Judge on current form not passed form. Alex Chan couldn't crack it at Manly and I think he's become a class front rower.
