I might be jumping the gun as Sheens hasn't even gone yet.
If we get a new coach do you think they will change the practice of 3 forwards and a back on the bench? I might be wrong, but my memory of the last few premiers, at least as far back to 2005 anyway, was each team had a really efficient and effective rotation of forwards on their bench, certainly several 'real' props. I remember Manly and Melbourne did.
We seem to try to manufacture this and it never works. If we get a new coach I have no idea what they'll do, but as has been the recent argument you can't simply manufacture a fullback, you can't do that with a prop either, putting a backrower up front doesn't really work...size (in this game) counts.
If we revert back to 4 forwards we will need three big boppers and a genuine utility (maybe Ayshford) on the bench, who at a pinch can play in the backs but is really able to fill in a forward position. Sadly I don't see Moltzen or smaller guys fitting in with some coaches plans (as a utility at least).
If this is the case, we need to shop for more 'power' forwards (not unlike Moi Moi in his running style) and a quality centre to fill in for Ayshford.
