Those that dont want benji in our team could be disappointed

I'm worried about the money. If he just wants to resurrect his career and accepts a pay cut based on loss of form and suitable bidders, I'm all for it. But if other clubs are weighing in with big offers, I really hope we let this one through to the keeper.

the sharks initially offered 1 million for 2.5 years, dragons topped it with 1.1 and on Friday sharks came back with 1.2-1.3, and raiders offered 1.5. however benji gave his word to price that he would be signing if the contract was delivered before Monday. Just read on JA forum that the contract is under review by the nrl today, should be announced tomorrow! Dragons have left the same offer of 1.1 and under the salary cap he would be about 150-200k this year, 300k next year and 400k the year after, the rest is third party. Now I think that's not too bad for a player like benji, you wont get him any cheaper due to what he has done and what he brings even though he hasn't been that great the last 2 years.

Happy to wait a year or 2 if something is actually getting done to improve our status in the game.

Im sure time will be running out for Doust and co to do something about improving our team, if not then the only battle wont just be with the club, but with us supporters also.
