Let's not get ahead of ourselves.... though it is pretty interesting news
Benji's brothers even more talented?
It's hard to believe, but Benji Marshall's two younger brothers may be even more talented than the Kiwi maestro himself.
Marshall, speaking to the Sydney Morning Herald, believes his 18-year-old brother Jordan is a seriously prodigious young footballer.
But then there's 15-year-old Jeremy, who's not too bad with the oval ball eiher, although he's chosen union over league.
''At the same age, Jordan is a better player than I was," he said.
Jordan was recently offered a contract by the Tigers, and one day soon we could see a Marshall brothers combo running out for the Sydney-based side.
"Who knows, maybe one day we'll get a chance to play together in the NRL. But the main thing at this stage is they just enjoy their footy," Benji said.
The boys' mother, Lydia Marshall, shares her eldest son's opinion - that at the same age, there is no contest between Benji and Jordan.
''He's got a better step and he's faster than Benj. He knows now just to be himself,'' she said regarding Jordan.
Of course, there is a long way to go to the top. Marshall snr has won a premiership, captained his country and is now the best in the business, as his Golden Boot trophy attests.
