No disrespect to Arthur but I think it's something that needs to be looked at.

Bennett would've ensured that we would've been competitive tonight, I also think Hayne would've played if Bennett was coach tonight. A coach like Wayne Bennett would mean that Hayne would re-sign IMO and he would be an incredible enticement for a signing of someone like Cherry-Evans.

Arthur could stay on as assistant coach to be repromoted to the top job once Bennett retires.

Thoughts?

No chance. Why is Bennett failing with a good roster at the Knights?

not as far off the mark as it sounds..

was having a beer with someone last night & he's hinted that the dragons aren't the favourites to secure Bennett's signature like the press is making out..

apparently wayne's desire is still to be the first to coach 3 different sides to a premiership. For him that comes first, money second.

word is Parra are first up on his list, based on their roster. Canberra launching a late rally to see if they can get him, they see it as a way to entice good players after the Tedesco / proctor / Mansour situation..

good mail is 2 year gig at the eels with Arthur his assistant like stone was at knights.

Bullshit. Will never happen.

I don't think on recent form that Bennett would bring anything significantly better than Arthur to the equation, other than some more experience. I don't think we'd be performing any better under Bennett this year than we have performed under Arthur.

Arthur deserves a chance to try and assemble a roster of his choice over the next few seasons - surely he has earned that chance given the unexpected level of performance we've seen in the first half of the year.

I doubt Bennett would come here. Besides, we need a bit of f**king stability for f**ks sake.

With our young roster, there isn't a single coach in the game that can prevent us from being flogged occasionally.

With all respect to the OP......getting rid of Arthur half way into his first season is one of the less well though out plans proposed on this forum. Why not swap Hayne for Boyd while we're at it?

It was one game away from a grand final last year. They are stacked with current, former and future Origin players and internationals.

A massive reason why that happened is he brought back Buderus from the UK.

We all know the services a great hooker can bring (I should have re-worded that)

He also missed out on the top 8 in his first year there, where the previous season rookie rick stone took them to the 8
