Referees boss Bernard Sutton admitted that Canberra's lone try shouldn't have been, that Sia Soliola did commit an offence by taking out Luke Keary's legs and that the Cronk sin bin was excessive.

"Sutton conceded the decision to give Canberra six more tackles after a mid-air contest between James Tedesco and Elliot Whitehead was wrong. That decision was made at the start of the set from which Canberra’s Jack Wighton scored his side’s only try – a massive play."

"The other concession that Sutton made was also at a controversial time of the game. He said the Roosters should have received a penalty when Luke Keary was taken out by Sia Soliola when he was attempting a charge down – the charge down which resulted in the ball hitting trainer Travis Touma on the head."

    "
There were three key admissions from the NRL that show the Roosters also got the rough end of the stick during the NRL’s biggest game of the year.

Sutton admitted to Robinson that Cooper Cronk being sent to the sin bin was harsh"

So the Roosters won the premiership despite copping multiple bad refereeing blunders?? What an awesome club!!! This just proves that Easts deserved to win the 2019 Grand Final.

No mention of the Elliott Whitehead strip/lose ball penalty? I thought that was the worst call against the Roosters during the game. Maybe they got it right?

He hasn't admitted anything, that article is a Weidler gossip column, paid for by Uncle Nick.

Very true. I hear that they’re still celebrating the GF victory in Double Bay.

    All horseshit.

It's embarrassing that the Roosters have such guilt that they would stoop this low.

Of course their roster was too good. They spend millions more than most sides.

It is such a shame that Nick is such a terrible golf player, you think that the money might be better spent somewhere else, like lessons??

Who cares which team was dudded worse? Biggest stage of the game and we have (at least) 4 shitty peices of refereeing. That the "referees boss" isn't using this to introduce a wide ranging plan to fix the problem is an absolute farce. How do these clowns still have jobs?

The roosters got the scrum feed after the charge down, so they were hardly dudded
In fact they scored not long after.

The fact that Robinson is crying about that and sent an email to Sutton shows he’s clutching at straws and is a massive whinger, he just won a premiership ffs

Also, Sutton saying the sin bin was harsh is not him admitting it was wrong

Why only spend $8million when the cap is $10 million?
