Parra r doin this in their forum, so who do u think has been our best buy and worst loss since lets say Sheens has had the job?

Best buy-Hodgson and he will prove it in time

Worst loss-hmm..Saleh lol j/k probaly O'Donnell or Jeffries. Both had potential.

Parramatta should be doing Worst buy/Worst loss.

They bought a stack of average players in the off season and they let some pretty decent players go = Brett Hodgson, Pat Richards and Shayne Dunley for starters.....

Best Buy, it's hard to go past Hodgson, an injury free Pat Richards would be up there as well and i don't think you can discount Scott Sattler's contribution.

Worst Loss - It's gonna end up being Lincoln Withers as he does have loads of potential, but he is not a half back.....maybe a hooker or even a lock forward.

In a few years time i think we will really regret seeing him go....

In the lower grades - Troy Robinson. I am not sure of the circumstances for his departure, but on the field he was a class above and definately one of the most promising reserve graders i have ever seen at Balmain......

Don't forget we also let Dunley (& Webster for that matter) go to Parra in the first place - donkey!

Troy is killing it at Jim Beam for Erina - but when given his chance at Souths in the top grade provided very little!!!

As for best buys - forget Satts - he is doing well but is not going to win us games on his lonesome and is here for just two years until retirement!

Our best buy was Payten - simply because we needed props and he was the only one we got (and lives up to the definition of "best buy" by costing us very little - and having a big future in front of him)!!!

Our worst loss is likely to be either O'Donnell or Manu!!! (I'll pick O'Donnell - who I am confident will be an elite player within three years)!

The only good thing about that is seeing webster prove himself to those who said he'd never be a first grader

He's a pretty unlikely hooker but doing well - I just wish it wasn't for parra :(

and Lochie - Villa is the wests tigers worst loss - but we lost him before sheens so doesn't qualify for this one

u cant compare withers now to when we lost him hes a brilliant utility in a team with stars he will come on and look 2 million dollars the way he plays ! at the tigers we didnt need him in the starting lineup but when we put him on the bench he cant come on and do the great things cos the talent isnt around him like st george so i reckon hes got a great job at the moment no great responsibilty just tackle hard and run hard like he does and he has no pressure like he did at the tigers !

 @ Swampdonkey's post, Hodgson, Richards and Dunley were big losses werent they

Hodgson replaced by Burt who is currently second highest point scorer

Richards replaced by Grothe.....enough said

and Dunley may be the biggest loss, but we have Thorman and Morris both better players

......once again  at Swampdonkey's post

Hodgson is ten times the player Burt is troll boy.

I laugh at you for thinking that limp wristed mummys boy Burt who can only kick goals is better than a try scorer like Hodgson.

Im mock you,and hurl insults at your skirt wearing friends and family.

Cheers

Best Buy: Hodgson and Sattler. Both bring that touch of class to the team that we haven't had since the early McCracken days back in 2000.

Worst Loss: Buddha and Manu. I believe both still could have benefited the side and perhaps strengthened it.

It's funny to hear people saying Withers could be our worst loss. Some people here last year couldn't wait to see the back of him. Withers showed up most of his team mates when he was here with the way he put his body on the line. I know it doesn't qualify cus it was before Tim Sheens, but it always irked me the way the Tigers took the moral high ground with Hoppa, only to see the snakes over on the beaches turn around an sign him.
