I was just wondering what the best classic console was

IE Atari-SNES

IMO Snes was the best in terms of games etc then Mega Drive then NES then Master system

remember such classics such as Wonder boy, Super Mario Bros, Sonic 1, Shinobi, Duck Hunt

It's a bit of a weird poll considering Intellivision was a classic system before Mega Drive was released... #-o

You should probably put in the Amiga 500. Even better than a C64.

However the C64 was an awesome system. It was a sad day when mine blew up.

Also you should include the Amstrad CPC 6128 (or 464 or 664) ... shat all over the C64's.

I had an Amstrad it was awesome, the games were so much fun to play,
Pipeline 2, Chronos, Robin Hood, fighter pilot, Finders Keepers were all awesome games.
Alex the Kid on the sega mastersystem2 was wicked. That is probally the all time classic with sonic as well.
Mortal Kombat series on either Snes or Megadrive
Donkey kong on the snes excellent game,
Unirally and Bomberman were excellent 2 player games, micro machines,
ahhh those were the days of great console games,
things have changed a bit since then.

lol, the good old commodore 64. Ours is still tucked away somewhere in the storage room, whether it works or not is another story. ET's Rugby League - There was also a soccer game that I used to play all the time, can't remember the name of it.

NES by a country mile

There would be no games industry if it wasn't for this machine reviving it after atari stuffed it all up.

Sega Mega Drive with Alex Kidd in Miracle World ... not Alex the Kid, one of the great myths in video games ... His last name is Kidd, and he is not a kid he is a prince :D

I know - very pedantic but for some reason I can't help but get annoyed when people wrongly refer to Alex Kidd as Alex the Kid.

I have a sad life.
