Best Coach for QLD?

With Wayne retiring from origin coaching, who do you think would make the best coach for qld.

Although hages was assistant coach this year I dont feel he is the right sort of person to be an origin coach, his best mate approach although a good quality to have isnt the kind of thing you need in an origin coach and also the fact that he can be leniant on players at times especially when they need to be run up and down sand dunes for 12 hrs.

In my opinion, John Lang would make a great coach for QLD, success follows him he has a great coaching mind. I would also have the Axe as assistant coach. Both i think would be the right type of coaches to take over.

BTW, an added bonus of having john lang there is martin lang wont get overlooked. I think hes a great player, definately the type of player i would have in my origin team, perhaps off the bench. Martin is probably the hardest running forward in the game, always hits at full speed, some forwards tend to slow down, but lang keeps on going forward. Good origin forward in my opinion.

I'd say Fatty or Gilmeister. IMO Origin coaches should not be club coaches aswell. It is too much stress on the coach and the assistant that he leaves behing to look after the club.

I would be disappointed if Hages went to coavh QLD and our club suffered. This is why they need to be "unemployed" coaches.

It is not OFFICIAL that Bennett will step down.

But it will happen.

John Lang has stated he would love the QLD Job, but not when he is still coach of Penrith, he has stated there would be to much pressure on his team at Penrith.

Hagan has said the same thing a Lang, so I don't know if he is changing his mind about the job.

The people who are mentioned for the Origin job are.

Hagan, Gillmeister, Elliott

Gilmeister or bellamy
Please ..... Not hagan
We have enough problems with our own backyard let alone worry about how the side will fare without the head coach being there

I'd go for Mal Meninga.

And I agree about Martin Lang, he'd be an awesome impact forward with his fearless charges up the middle. Imagine introducing him after 25 minutes when people start to tire? He'd carve up! I don't know why he hasn't played since 2000.
