My favourite is Jerry Cantrell but I voted Zakk Wylde.

Was going to go Malmsteen who is arguably the most talented but having seen Zakk a few times now - and met him on multiple occasions - I can't go past him. The guy can seriously play.

Maalmsteen bore's me. We know your fast. We get it. Slash for mine. I like his creative solo's, which are made to fit each song, rather than just showing off. Although undeniably, SRV is a legend as well.
Also, Dan Hawkins is a better guitarist than his brother.

a very difficult group. I wanted to go with Wylde, or Slash, Wood, Billy Corgan, Malmsteen, however i feel that people underrate Cantrell's musicianship as they look at these comps and only seem to rate technical skill. Went with Jerry Cantrell.

I've got a vid of Gerry Cantrell playing live with Primus (Seas of Cheese)

will put it on the CD with the others for you

Stevie Ray got my vote.
Close second Equal would have been Robert Cray and Slash

Malmsteen= Technically brilliant and quick...but repeditive
Having seen Zakk Wylde live, Was rather disappointed IMO sounded like an epileptic bumblbee.
Corgan= I think Iha is better

Had to go against my metal grain and vote for vaughn, if you have ever seen the video of him playing texas flood live, it whips anything that any of the other guitarists mentioned in this group have done. He was truly a freak.
