So many good ones to choose from.

2001 space oddessy- never really liked the rest of the movie, but the opening is hypnotic.

Goldeneye- First bond movie i watched

Happy Gilmore- Just love the song choice

Dark Knight- Bank Heist

Lord of War- following the bullet

Mad Max- The Night Rider

But the top 2 for me are

Up
Lion King

Before the Devil Knows Your Dead certainly started off with a bang.

Don't really remember much of the movie apart from dat scene with Marisa Tomei.

Great movie. Worth watching any film that was directed by Sidney Lumet.

When I saw the thread title Saving Private Ryan was what first came to mind.

Inglorious Basterds as well

Depends on how far you consider opening scene but the original Robocop all the way up to where Boddicker blows Murphy's hand of is something I always remember from my childhood, great parents I had haha

The Towering Inferno
Remember originally seeing this at the Plaza theatre in George St back in 1975, the curtain pulled back from the screen with the chopper flying along the Californian coastline then flying over forest then into a fog then coming out the other side with the Golden Gate Bridge, it was amazing and with a great John Williams score I was hooked.
