Packer surely owns the top front rower spot, and both Fai and Matulino are high in the second rower stakes.

As for HB: Games I have seen Mortimer was the most impressive.

Think you need more Dragons in there.

Merrin is a standout, but so are the other 2 Saints props Hancock and O'Brien.

Also Marketo in the backrow has been on fire..

I think Rapana from Gold Coast has been awesome as well. Duggan, fullback from Canberra.

Barba, Carney and Sandow are givens.

Leeson Ah Mau and Tim Mannah (Where is he?) are right up there for the props. If I had to rank it:

1. Packer
2. Ah Mau
3. Mannah
4. Kite
5. Dragons (Name escapes me)

I think Eddie Pettybourne would be in the top 5. Consistently plays almost the whole 80 minutes and for a prop that is impressive and he has a real engine in him. Not saying Mannah and Packer arent great but i think pettybourne is as good or very close to their standard.

I think Josh Hoffman (Broncos would be in the running for the best fullback in the NYC. i was also really impressed when Hoffman made his NRL debut for the Broncos against the Dragons. (that was when all the Broncos origin reps were out)

For the Broncos these are the only players worth nominating

Fullback: Josh Hoffman
Wing: Jharal Yow Yeh
Halfback: Ben Hunt
Hooker: Andrew McCullough
Second Rower: Michael Spence

Since Daniel Oregan moved into stand-off, he has been making a good fist of the halves. I would say close to one of their best, and an inspiring captain.

Penese penrith second rower has been a stand out and elliott has said he is close to first grade selection.Penese has had to carry the forward pack with the huge injury toll and first grade selections at penrith
