Israel Folau for Melbourne Storm Vs. Wests Tigers- Round 1, 2007 @ Olympic Park- Friday March 16th.

folau played terrible all game then scored a try off a bomb and everyone batted themselves stupid over him.....funny the same thing then happened every game for the rest of his career.

Folau offers very little as a footballer except his scoring tries off kicks. As a centre he is defensively terrible and can't run lines and rarely beats a bloke one on one. If they change the rules to take kicks for tries out of the game he is in trouble. Broncos wasted a sh*tload of money on him. They would hae been better off not getting him and using that money to keep Ennis, Hannant and Stagg.

F*ck off, we have not missed him one bit. He spent more time on the sidelines then actually playing. He produced spurts of brilliance but realistically in most of his games he did nothing, bit like Frank Pritchard. Most of the media hype surrounding him was for what he done off the field, what he was getting paid, and how good he COULD be. The game has gone on without. As always, the money hungry f*ckers leave and we replace them.

Haha, comparing SBW to Pritchard...clueless.

Don't let the facts get in the way of your macho "rugby league is gospel" rant though.

Sonny Bill has done no more in the game of league then Pritchard has. Both on their day were/are unstoppable, both rarely show/ed up though. Sonny Bill was a myth, and will remain a myth.

Hmmm, whatever you reckon mate.

Doesn't bother me if telling yourself he wasn't good helps you get over him leaving.

A.Johns run on debut gave us an insight as to what was in store over the coming years.

All very valid points backed up by the Doggies on-field performance in 2009.

andrew johns actually played 3 or 4 games back in 1993 from the bench and they apparently werent all that special. his run on debut in 1994 against souths was quite possibly the best 'run on' debut ever. sbw agianst the eels when he was in the centres was brilliant i still remember the try he scored off the chip from shifty

All made-up sh*t to bring down someone who left the game.

And the Bulldogs success wouldn't have anything to do with Kimmorley, Morris, Hannant, Gordon, Stagg, Goodwin, Idris, Hodgson, Ennis and Eastwood coming into the team plus a new coach...

It's like you didn't even think before you posted.

Moi Moi had a pretty good debut against Manly in 2004.
came off the bench and scored 1 or two tries if i remeber correctly as big league stated "a stunning cameo from tongan torpedo fui fui moi"

also jamie sowards debut was a good one against the knights in 05

yep, a very good point, I had always thought his debut was the 23 point effort. Did you get that info from a Knights fan, a book or Wikipedia ?
